50% of all profits from Tin Soldier content go to charity!

So that I can afford to give more, I’m keeping my expenses as low as I can. For the moment, that means the lowest tier of web hosting and stock images for me to modify instead of hiring a real illustrator. These are my monthly credits and debits (revised for accuracy after making payments in July):

• Domain: -$1.25
• Web Hosting (HostGator): -$6.95
• Stock Images (Dreamstime): -$5.75 (This is for 60 credits a year, which adds up to way less than 60 images)
• Labor: You get that for free!
• Patreon (Thank you!!) : +$13 (Welcome New Patron!)
• Purchases/One Time Donations (Thank you!!): 0

Currently (January 2022), I’m spending $0.95 (USD) to bring you content – so close to breaking even! I’m preparing to change the currency over to CAD, because I’ve moved. I’ll need to sort out conversions and a new bank in the near future, but for the moment, PayPal and Patreon still think I’m in the US. I will add my profits (or lack thereof) below for every month. Unless I forget.

I seem to have successfully switched to a free SSL, so the store lives, although it still needs major repairs. I will get to it eventually.

Charities of the Month will receive a donation of no less than $50 (CAD)

For the moment, this means I’m spending $50 out of my own pocket every month (which counts as a personal expense, not an operating cost), minus any profit. So if I make a dollar, the whole dollar goes to charity and I spend $49 to bring the donation up to $50. To make any money myself, I need to make over $50.01, which I’ve managed once so far (I replaced my keyboard, which was kaput). To get above $50 to charity, I need to profit at least $100.02. That’s a long way to go!
